Colleen McKay

Activity Director

Colleen is originally from Rochester Hills, MI, and has grown up with recreation in her blood.  Both her parents were camp counselors and recreation connoisseurs. Colleen has lived in the UP for the past four years, working in a variety of different settings. She advised students at NMU, worked as the assistant ski school director at Marquette Mountain, guided kayaking guests along Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, worked for REI in Phoenix, Arizona as well as a greenhouse attendant downstate. This is Colleen’s first summer at Bay Cliff, and she is beyond excited to get this summer started. Colleen enjoys coaching soccer for Marquette High School girls program, trail running, skiing, biking and a good cup of coffee!

Roles & Responsibilities

Colleen is the Activities Director. She is responsible for planning and coordinating activities for recreation, arts and crafts, nature and performing arts in the summer day camp. She is involved in the pre-planning, organization and implementation of the activities. Colleen assists in recruiting, hiring, training and supporting the activities staff. In addition, Colleen assists in organizing and overseeing the host programs at Bay Cliff.
