Ryan is native to Marquette, MI. After graduating high school, he attended Northern Michigan University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Secondary English Education. During most of his life, Ryan has worked with children in one way or another. Whether that was volunteering as a youth soccer coach for many years or later, spending hours in classrooms observing or substitute teaching. Most recently, he completed his student teaching at Huron High School in Ann Arbor, MI.

Bay Cliff has been in Ryan’s life in one way or another for many years. In middle school, he attended Bay Cliff for Bothwell’s Middle School Science Camp, and then later, worked as a counselor at those same camps. He worked at Bay Cliff’s Summer Therapy Camp for the first time during the summer of 2022. He was a counselor in Unit 2. One summer was all it took and he absolutely fell in love with Bay Cliff and every one of their campers. When the opportunity arose for him to take on a full-time role, he knew he had to go for it. He is enthusiastic about the upcoming summer, and the many summers to come.
