Abby is the Food Service Director at Bay Cliff. She is responsible for recruitment, menu planning, ordering and feeding the kids during summer. She enjoys working with the office and therapy staff to make sure the kids are getting everything they need during the summer. She loves working with her baker and cooks to come up with new meals and items for the kids. Her time in food service as a student manager in the kitchen in college, cooking at a small cafe and managing a local homemade ice cream shop has given her the tools to keep the traditions alive and make new ones. She is ServSafe certified in the state of Michigan. She found Bay Cliff after moving to the UP from downstate Michigan. Once she stepped on to the campus, she knew this was where she was meant to be. She loves welcoming everyone to the Big House, the dining hall on camp. She is always looking for volunteers in the Big House. Once you are here for a meal you will want to come back for more, defiantly if it’s a ‘save your spoon’ meal, AKA ice cream!
